Meilstrup & Brown is a boutique law firm comprised of expert attorneys who specialize in helping students protect their education and future goals by enacting a fearless and agile plan of attack that demands fairness, transparency, and the right to due process.
Founded in 2022, Meilstrup & Brown was created with a desire to provide experienced, sophisticated, and creative legal solutions to the public in Colorado and beyond. Shareholders Kelly Meilstrup and Lindsay Brown each worked in the private sector for more than a dozen years in different capacities before forming Meilstrup & Brown. Kelly began her career in indigent defense in state and federal court. In 2015, she founded 2nd Chair, a high-end litigation support company that helps attorneys better serve their clients by providing legal consulting and support services, mostly in complex state and federal criminal defense matters. After several years serving the community as a public defender, Lindsay started her career in private practice in 2013. She became a partner at two well-known law firms in Denver, including time spent serving as the partner in charge of the Education and Juvenile Law department at Richards Carrington LLC. Combined, they run a team of experienced and innovative trial and appellate attorneys whose focus is to identify the most effective path to meet each client’s unique objectives.
